Discipleship and Nurture

Our main focus is to grow as disciples, being accountable to God and each other in our Christian walk. The Discipleship and Nurture committee coordinates with other church committees and reach out to individuals to assist them in their life-long journey.

Mid-week Bible Study and Prayer

Mid-Week Bible Study and Prayer is held every Wednesday from 7.30 pm to 9 pm online via Zoom. Bible study is based on the book ‘Faith in Action’ authored by Rev. Victor Vethamani. This book features lessons based on the Epistle of James and the Old Testament addressing a range of topics. We unite in prayer for the Church and its ministries.

Monthly Fasting prayer

Monthly Fasting Prayer is conducted on the 1st Saturday of each month at 10 am online via Zoom. The Pastor delivers God’s Word and leads the fasting prayer.

We lift up the nations globally, our nation Singapore along with its leaders, conflict-stricken areas, neighbouring countries, Missions and Missionaries in our prayers. We also pray for different Church ministries, the growth of the Church, its members and the surrounding community.

To God be the Glory – Testimony sharing

On the 3^rd Sunday of each month, members are invited to come forward and share a brief testimony of 2-3min during the Sunday worship service.

Cell Groups

The Cell Group Meeting takes place in four different locations, hosted in a members’ residence. Friends and relatives nearby gather for a brief meditation and discussion followed by prayer and fellowship. Area Cell Group coordinators lead the Cell Groups.

Other Programs

Different programs such as Bible Quiz, Senior’s Fellowship, enacting Missionary stories and Intercessory prayers are organised for members to engage, grow and deepen their love for God neighbours.

For everyday devotion, Our Daily Bread, Bible reading plan and Audio Bible apps are recommended. The Lent devotions suggested by the Emmanuel Tamil Annual Conference (ETAC) are shared with the congregation. ETAC Discipleship and Nurture organises seminars and workshops. ETAC and Disciple Agency jointly offer courses for members to learn in a small group setting.
